Tips for agents
- Call looptake_get_me first. It shows the plan, the credit balance and the scopes on the key.
- Read the workspace brand before generating, so ideas fit the brand.
- Generate wide and keep one. Ideas are free; only AI media costs credits.
- Preview with looptake_preview_post before you create a post.
- Ask a person before you publish. Offer tiktokSendToInbox for the first post.
- Send an Idempotency-Key on every write over HTTP. The MCP server and CLI do this for you.
- Use an lt_test_ key while you build. It never posts.
Questions
Hosted or local MCP?
Hosted: point a client at https://looptake.com/mcp with your API key as a Bearer token, nothing to install. Local: run npx @looptake/mcp with LOOPTAKE_API_KEY set, and the key stays on your machine. Same tools.
Can an agent publish without a person?
Only if its key has posts:write. Publishing, spending and destructive tools also need confirm: true in the call. 20 of 62 tools are guarded this way.
Is agent access on every plan?
Yes. The API, CLI and MCP server are on every paid plan.
