Build viral videos from code

Everything in the app is in the API: generate, edit, schedule and auto-post short-form video to TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Use REST, the CLI or MCP.

First request

Generate three video ideas

export LOOPTAKE_API_KEY="lt_live_…"

# Video ideas with hooks, scripts and captions. Free.
curl -X POST "https://looptake.com/api/v1/generations" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOOPTAKE_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"count": 3, "prompt": "Why most small shops run out of stock in September"}'

# Or from a terminal
npx looptake generate --count 3 --prompt "Why most small shops run out of stock in September"

Developer questions

Is the API on every plan?

Yes. The REST API, CLI and MCP server are on every paid plan, with no extra fee.

What costs credits?

Only AI media. Free: hooks and scripts, text and slideshow formats, editing and captions, scheduling and auto-posting, analytics and reports. See credits and limits.

Hosted or local MCP?

Hosted needs no install: point the client at https://looptake.com/mcp with your key as a Bearer token. Local runs npx @looptake/mcp so the key never leaves your machine.

Is there an OpenAPI document?

Yes, at /openapi/v1.json. It, this documentation and /llms-full.txt are generated from one registry.

Describe it. Looptake writes, renders, scores and posts it to TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

Free trial, no card. Paid plans from $29/month.
